High Legh Brownies have been very busy this summer term. We started off with a very busy and successful Sunday teas on the 8th May. We have also worked on a number of badges this term; a sponsored silence fundraising badge, where the girls had to raise their age in sponsorship money. We recently worked on the 'speaker' badge where they brought in their favourite book and shared the reading with the rest of the group and finishing off with writing about their favourite pet, holiday or experience. Prior to the May half term we worked on the hostess badge, which was a great success. The hostess badge is whereby the girls create invitations and invite one guest to brownies for the night. They provide table decorations and food. A fun time was had by all.
Did you know we have a thriving Brownies unit in High Legh?
We meet from 6.00pm – 7.30pm every Tuesday in term time, at High Legh Primary School. We have a range of activities, including making crafts, visits to local sites such as the High Legh Community Observatory, informative visits from organisations such as Guide Dogs, and of course we work towards earning badges.
