Winterbottom House, a local garden is open for The National Garden Scheme on Sunday June 16th (1-5). From A50 opp the Kilton Pub, turn into Hoo Green Lane. In ½ m bear left down Winterbottom Lane, (narrow lane-take care) and the house is at the end. Follow signs for ample parking and wheelchair access. Adm. £5 (for charity)

The garden has been developed over 40 years and the small duck pond is now a large pool and the sapling trees are now fully mature. These contrast well with more formal areas near the house, which includes a sunken area with box parterre, a water feature and many interesting statuary. The area also includes a period summerhouse, ornamental rill, a natural koi pond and plenty of seating for teas and home made cakes. Some gravel paths but no steps
