This Sunday, Cheshire Down's Syndrome Support Group are delighted to be hosting the well regarded Sunday Tea's at High Legh Village Hall. Serving a delicious selection of homemade sandwiches cakes and scones along with freshly brewed coffee and tea, the charity invites the whole family to join them.
The fresh cake selection will include some traditional favorites such as lemon drizzle, carrot and chocolate cake as well as some tantalising alternatives such as coconut and lime and cherry cake. As were are heading into Wimbledon season, we will also be offering fresh strawberries and cream too.
High Legh Village Hall is 5 minutes from the M6/J20 and the M56/J9 (postcode WA16 6LR) - just beside the A50 to Knutsford. You can drop in en route to/from Tatton Park, Dunham Massey and pick up a picnic if you wish. Parking by High Legh Village Hall is free and the hall is fully accessible one one level, with facilities for infants and children. All the family will be very welcome. If the weather is fine you can even sit outdoors and enjoy the flowers in the rockery planted by the WI.
Works have now commenced on the A538. This junction improvement work will provide additional capacity on the A538 and improve access to Sunbank Lane. Unfortunately, there will be some traffic disruption along the stretch of road adjacent the Amazon and DHL warehouses until Spring 2018. On completion, the road will be widened to a dual-carriageway and the existing Sunbank Lane junction upgraded to signal control to access the Runway Visitor Park/Romper Pub and the World Logistics Hub. For more information and updates on the work, as the scheme progresses please see the airport website.
